Amber ran 240 miles in just 28 days raising $820 for our mission trip
For the record... I ran 0 miles in 28 days ;)
Not sure how many of you were following our latest fundraiser on facebook but you should check it out. It all started with the mommy of one of the little girls that my mother teaches in preschool. She wanted to help us raise money, wanted to challenge herself, and volunteered to post all of her results. Amber is a working mom of two little girls, and somehow managed to run 240 miles in 28 days. That is literally farther than from our house in Frisco, TX to Austin, TX. My sister and I will be doing the Warrior dash in Austin this month... but we will be driving there. We will also most likely be struggling to finish the 5K obstacle mud run. I can not even imaging running 240 miles in my lifetime. I'm totally impressed with Amber!
I'm also really humbled that someone that I have never even met, would be willing to run that far just to help us get to Zambia. Honestly, just the thought of it means more to me that she will probably ever know. We advertised it on facebook, and set out a signup sheet at my mom's preschool. Thank you to all of you who participated. The generosity of others is just amazing.
Thank you to all who were involved in making this happen!

Our total goal for the trip is to raise $12,000
As of today, we have raised $7,060 ($7,380 once the pledges are turned in!)
$820 of that money came from this fundraiser alone!
